Emerging Tech Community Group Meeting Featuring an Expert Panel and Professional Networking

The EDUCAUSE Emerging Technology Program will facilitate community discovery of emerging technologies while influencing their ongoing development. The program will provide emerging technology companies with exposure to the higher education market, connection with customers and mentors, and product feedback opportunities. The associated Emerging Technology Community Group includes anyone who is interested in supporting the development of emerging technologies, including emerging tech leaders, industry leaders, and higher education professionals. This meeting will provide those who are interested in being part of the CG with an opportunity to meet other leaders in the field, hear a panel of experts from the leadership team, and engage in a networking exercise.

Who Are the People in Your Neighborhood? Engaging with the SSA CG

The EDUCAUSE Student Success Analytics Community Group is starting a podcast! This project is an opportunity for current members of the CG to share expert advice or discuss their current projects in the field. This poster will share the inspiration driving this idea, the format used to record these conversations, and the early work completed to pull this project together. Participants will be able to see some data analytics information and dream projects shared by the first round of guests. Add your own ideas for what works in student success data analytics and learn how you can join the CG to participate in this project and other learning opportunities offered by this community!

Maturing Your Student Success Initiative with Higher Education's First Framework

Session type: Preconference Workshop

In an environment with an abundance of data and entities seeking to help students, this rubric provides a path forward for institutions balancing the dynamic and extraordinary circumstances that students are experiencing today with available resource deployment. This session will provide participants with the opportunity to gain insights from the UC Irvine Compass team on their utilization of the Student Success Analytics Rubric to evaluate the maturity of their Data-Driven Student Success initiative, apply findings from the rubric to advance and accelerate their efforts, and create measurement tools for ROI assessment. Participants will also be guided in using the rubric to rate, develop a project plan, and identify priorities on an initiative at their own institution.The Student Success Analytics Rubric was developed by the Educause Student Success Analytics (SSA) Practitioners Community Group (CG).
