Unicon, Inc. Contributes to Learning Impact Award-Winning EdTech Project
Gilbert, AZ – June 10, 2024 – Unicon, Inc., a leading learner-centric technology consulting firm, today announced that a recent development project of theirs, StrataTech’s “OcuWeld Replatforming and Content Sync” has been awarded a Bronze Learning Impact Award for Gaming, Simulation, and Immersive Learning at the 2024 1EdTech Learning Impact conference.
This cutting-edge platform, designed to serve content over LTI and manage transactions between OcuWeld (a VR welding simulation) and LMS systems, developed collaboratively by Intraedge and Unicon, was recognized for its innovative approach and transformative impact on digital education.
Unicon, alongside Intraedge, is proud to have been part of the development team behind this groundbreaking project. This award is a testament to StrataTech's visionary work and the collaborative efforts that have driven the success of both their platform and OcuWeld.
The ability for VR to deliver unique and engaging learning experiences is something that Unicon has had an eye on for a while, so we were particularly excited when IntraEdge brought us in on their partnership with StrataTech. Designing and developing a platform that allows StrataTech’s OcuWeld VR Welding Simulation to authenticate through and report scores back to an LTI-compliant LMS’s gradebook was a lot of fun, and showcases the ability to connect applications outside the browser in a standards-compliant way. We’re very proud and excited about this work, and winning an award for it proves the effectiveness of the collaborative partnership between StrataTech, IntraEdge, and Unicon!
