Gilbert, AZ – October 24, 2018— Unicon, Inc., a leading education technology and digital services provider, today announced its participation in the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference 2018 session, “APIs: A Better Strategy for Higher Ed ERP Integration ” on Wednesday, October 31, at 2:30p.m. - 3:15p.m. MT. Session speakers include Linda Feng, Software Architect, Unicon, Inc.; Michael Berman, Chief Innovation Officer, California State University, Office of the Chancellor; and John Suess, Vice President of IT & CIO, University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
This interactive presentation will focus on Microservices, or APIs, with discussion centered on a community initiative to leverage this technology by establishing a standardized set of interactions. This strategy has the potential to improve agility, reduce costs, and provide a clearer path toward SaaS (Software as a Service) ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning systems). Session attendees will learn the role that Microservices / APIs can play in improving the agility and cost effectiveness of higher education ERPs, and how to evaluate the addition of Microservices to their own campus ERP roadmap.
